"Over and out," he said.
Apologies are a funny thing. When I was younger my sister told me to stop apologizing to strangers. She told me this in a way that made me feel like I was giving something away that meant a lot. We all apologize when we don't have to, when we have to, when we shouldn't. I think some people get the impression that you are truly humbling yourself or kneeling down to someone when you apologize and I think in a way it's true. I'm in one of those spots where I feel it's better to not say anything at all while also hoping the other person understands.
