The weekend was kind of relaxing but not really. I went looking for bees wax sheets for crafts, I found myself lost in mississauga and then eventually found that michael's no longer carries the shit. what a bitch. Dixie mall is fucked just as all malls are fuck. I thank god for online shopping.
I drank (copiously) on my own last night and started a new painting. So this weekend I got some extra painting time in. There is more dead or white space in this piece and I don't know how I feel about it. Last night I had a wine called Sibling Rivalry along side half a pack of cigarettes while painting. I thought the wine was good but I don't really have a refined palette for the drink.
This weekend I also cooked. I cooked orzo for the first time and used radicchio, two kinds of mushrooms, onions, garlic, vegetable stock, chili flakes. It turned out well. I also made a side of chick peas with tomato sauce and garlic which was also good. This afternoon I went with my fam to a restaurant called Sarah's which is just around the way. The food was good and they had a lot of different beers which I chose not to indulge in.
Word up. I gots this upcoming Friday off if anyone is interested in taking the day off with me for coffee/partying/shopping blkablkablka i'm stoked.

shaking like a dog shitting razor blades

I woke up this morning thinking, "goddammit it's only Tuesday." Yesterday I had a headache and felt like shit all day. I am quite sure that it is because of my new friend whose picture you can see above - Sailor Jerry Rum. When I drink I am often hungover for 2 days. The first day is not so bad because of the partial drunkenness that lingers. The second day is just shit. Sailor Jerry rum is killer and it me really fast. Maybe because of the hint of spice and well rounded sweetness. I don't often drink rum. But Sailor Jerry is also 46% alcohol. God knows how much difference it makes from what I am used to... but that's 15% more alcohol. Amazing. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it. And I don't recommend dirty martinis yugh.

Sleep hasn't been coming easy this week. I have a feeling the late nites this past weekend are taking a toll. Derek is back in town and we got to hang out last nite. Note: Starbucks closes at 10pm on weekdays now at Warden and Steeles and the Tim Horton's parking lot is ridiculous. We ended up at Milley's which was alright. 3 younger dudes worked together to pour our coffees, it was a bit whack. It was good to see Derek back for sure.
I am kind of glad to have a workshop tonite - I get to leave earlier from work to head to Hincks for a CBT certificate program. Yesterday at program kids were off the chains. I'm tired but it's almost the weekend!

Last night was a good time:
+ being on guest list
+ dynamic duo DJing - nice tunes guys big up
+ DJ role plays with headphone props on the laptop
+ stopping at Molly Bloom's for a minute for liquor
+ pepperoni sticks?
+ all the bands playing
+ funny people
+ moshing with friends
- bohemian beer what is that.
- the turn out was a bit weak
- wanting to stay out later to drink but having to work
Today on the way home I saw Catherine Pan on the road. Wuddup girl! I haven't seen her in ages but I'm supposed to help her with tuning her drums some point in time. Sweet weather today minus the shit rain in the morning, things turn out not so bad now and again huh.
On a side note, everything I've been eating has been tasting bitter as shit. Since yesterday morning. There is something wrong with me or my taste buds. Has anyone else experienced this? It's pretty unappetizing. Thank god I can live on stout and coffee which are already bitter. Maybe I'll dip some grapefruit or bitter melon in stout for dinner tonite. fuck.

Friday night was a fun time for me. I went to my first stag... I went to a bachelor's party before but it wasn't as fun as this one. I arrived at the hall and went right to the bar ordering a double scotch and water. After saying whatsup to the groom and having a cigarette with him and his friends, I didn't really know what to do. I didn't know anyone there and I could only hang out by the bar so much. So I ended up buying 30 bucks of poker chips and playing holdem for most of the night. Poker games usually end up with me losing but I think I'm getting a better handle of the game. At one point I was up about 40 bucks and should've cashed out... but I didn't.
Next Friday is Karloong's birtday party. I'm supposed to be dj'ing, I'm planning on renting some speakers out from Long and Mcquade and have been downloading music alot this past week. BUT... He is planning to rent out a studio which is going to cost a hefty amount and on top of the supply everyone with endless drinks which will end up costing as much as the studio rental I'm sure. On facebook there are only 18 ppl expected including himself and me and some of my friends > , < If it doesn't work out I'm sure he'll be able to spend all the money on copious amounts of booze in a club like most people do. If i don't get to laptop dj for this party, someone please assign me to another party, I don't want to have all these songs on my computer that i'll probably never listen to.

I'd rather be making a mixtape
This weekend was a good time. Got to see Konwen, Darren and Jean on Friday night. We went to an old people pub, it was entirely good because of the company, the Guinness didn't hurt too. Konwen spoke to his co-worker for a large chunk of the night at the bar. I would have thrown up if I had to talk about work on a friday night. Anyhow, it was good to get drinks down. Last night I went to see The Dufraines CD release party with my friend. They covered No Doubt at the end which was fun. Their sound was unique, I enjoyed the cello and violins and also liked how they read from sheet music when they played.

My soy milk curdled in my coffee, when I screamed "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK"... Actually this happened the other way around. fuck.
I've been a bit anxious about my next tattoo appointment because I haven't been working out lately and I'll have to take my shirt off. Also, I thought I might have to work on the Saturday, but thankfully no one has to go in on that day at all now - fuck yeah. Now, it's time to listen to TI and do some muthafucking hmwk.

Speaking of cool vegetarians, Sam Flores is a cool artist who has done art with Upper Playground. I have a book of art he published, it has a pink cover:

I had an interesting dream last night. I was overseas in Korea and had very little time to see the country. I was doing a bit of shopping and after I made a quick purchase in one store I asked the clerks, who were my age, where they would go if they could go to one place in Korea. This took a while because of the language barrier... I only got one answer out of the three. The female clerk said that I should go to this giant Korean department store, she said it's "like Ikea". After leaving the store with the name of the destination on a piece of paper I was headed to tackle the public transport station but woke up.
Last night, I was went to see Matty in Yorkville. Unfortunately I didn't get to talk to him very much. Some of his friends are only beginning to strike me as being a bit weird now, even though I've known some of them for several years. I think Matt is an exceptional dude out of the bunch and in general. I also went to see Dianna, met her boyfriend, and had an oatmeal stout.... yay for Dianna and the stout! They had it on tap at Mitzi's sister too...
