My week has been balls. I am looking forward to Friday more and more everyday. What will I have to look to after Friday? I'm not sure. When I was much younger I used to get really excited about going to concerts, so much that it felt like nothing else after the show would matter and I couldn't put my mind past it. Almost like it would be my last night alive and anything could happen. It was a weird feeling.
Tonite I finished the tags for the SOS shirts. I am glad I have this things to work on because otherwise I'd be shitting myself about things at work. This week I've worked several mornings from 7 to 9, coming back home to nap and going back for 11 or 12 to work to 7ish. It's a bit of a bitch and I think it's taking a toll on my sleeping quota. It sucks how a few small things can drown out a whole lot of good things.
I joined a gym today. Today was my first workout since about 8 months ago. The gym is pretty sweet - it's quiet and clean and the equipment is pretty sick... The last time I had access to good equipment was at hart house in university.
Special thanks this week to: Reign Supreme and Kid Cudi - pretty much all I've been listening to.

Weekend Update
I only have a few more weekends to work before I claim my weekends back. 4 weekends including today. Thank God. This weekend was pretty alright but I can't wait to have the luxury of sleeping in on weekends once again.
Yesterday I went to the Little London Barber shop for a trim. There was a dude getting his haircut and his friend waiting for him there. His friend was making comments about his new hair with a really heavy accent. Whenever he said something the barbers would both start laughing. I seriously thought he was speaking in another language, but when the two gents left the head barber said he was laughing because he sounded like Borat.
In the morning, I met up with my fam in Liberty Village for brunch at the School Bakery and Cafe. I had a four cheese omlette with a biscuit and home fries which were all delicious. Brunch is awesome. Janice and I went shopping a bit afterward for a new hat for me. That was the third time I went shopping for a new one and returned home fruitless.
I went in to work to work on summer planning which felt good regardless of my slow pace, youtubing, smoke breaks and leaving the office for a haircut midway. Things are coming together and I've got faith that it'll be a good good summer... for the kids.

Kinda tired again
Audrey just recommended for me to check out Gaslight Anthem and I'm liking them a lot. I've also downloaded:
De La Soul - nike promo thing Thanks Nike!
MF Doom - Born Like This
Ninja Gun - Restless Rubes
Polar Bear Club - Sometimes Things Just Disappear
A Day as a Lion - S/T ep Thanks Darren!
Keri Hilson - In A Perfect World
Ciara - Fantasy Ride Thanks Chris!
Thank god for high speed connections and soulseek. I just listened to part of the Keri Hilson album, and the Knock You Down track is pretty nice. Imagine trying to cop all that at a record store - times have changed since cassette tape singles which were popular not so long ago - god bless the music industry. So, unlike I planned, once again I'm procrastinating the final assignment for my online course. What a bitch. I'll be glad when this shit is overrr. I'm gonna get back to the homework for the first time.

Saturday Morning
Waking up today was a bitch. I planned to go in a bit late and thankfully got in just in time with a large coffee to soothe my headache. Note: Sitting with your head on your desk and trying to sleep when hungover feels horrible.
Today one kid came in to the program, he's actually 15 years old so not really a kid. He's one of my favorite acquaintances from the program - a really genuine dude. I asked him how his week was and he started talking about something involving swagger. I've been getting the impression that the word has multiple meanings and don't want to resort to urbandictionary.com. So I obviously didn't really catch on to what he was trying to communicate. He then said that he'd been going to the mall quite often to pick up girls. I asked him what his lines were and he replied that he started off pretending to line up to purchase something and then offering the lady of interest some gum. He stated that this approach has reaped positive results. The conversation was then interrupted but I will follow-up by asking how many numbers he's gotten and divide this number by number of attempts. I am proud of him. I know he's gonna do good in that field regardless because he's a sweet dude. It was really funny to hear about it though.

I put some new things on my ipod last night. I used to have a bad habit of waking up at around 2 am and wandering around the house. Now I find myself waking up at around 4 am or so. I have a feeling that I am going to lose my hearing from work... especially during the summer. I raise my voice quite a bit, the kids are noisy as hell, loud music on the way to work and loud music on the way home.

let's go
* Today feels like my Monday. The weekend was good tho! Saturday night especially. I saw Aileen and Martin at their place. I had some absinthe with Martin while Aileen was tapping the Goose. It was nice to see them though, we meet up every couple of months only it feels like. Then, I was off to Lindsay's kegger which encompassed a date auction, Darren playing songs I like and lots of Steam Whistle. I ended the night with Burger King drive thru which is undeniably pretty gross but one of the few 24 hour sources of food in the area. I found that working Sunday was not so bad and that Saturday night partying was accounted for by my supervisor when scheduling me.
* Matt offered some airtime on one of his tracks to me. He sent a track to me and I've been writing a bit everyday but I still haven't recorded anything which will be the harder part.
* Today I meet with the program director for a follow-up meeting to my interview. I'm pretty nervous as the interview itself was still haunting me last night. While the encounter had huge repercussions on my emotional stability, the opportunity has potential to change things for me significantly. We me luck.
* On a side note (yowza):

the river runs red
I had an interview with the org i currently work part time at. Initially I was told the interview was going to take an hour, I consider this to be pretty long. I went in knowing the people interviewing me. The first question asked was about communicating like many of the ones to follow were. I had a little trouble answering it, and continued to the next one... Considering how many interviews I have been through, I do not usually have too hard of a time finding my way through the questions, answering using scenarios I have conjured and exaggerated from already existing ones or truthfully from experiences. Today's interview was not one of those.
After the first few questions, I in all honesty wanted to get out of there. The questions were a lot to think about and many were above and beyond my skill and ability set I felt. I felt my eyes getting watery and my voice was also getting shaky and I was finding it hard to speak. My nerves were all fucked up. Almost two hours after the first question I was asked if I had any questions for them. I wish I had a list of ball-breaking questions for my interviewers, goddamn.
To say the least I was taken back by the experience. I feel as if I was a round peg being forced through a square hole for 2 hours, my mind is racked and I'm physically exhausted. Is this position really what I'm looking for? Can I really make a serious footprint in the program if I do receive the position? I can't wait till morning, I can't think straight right now, I hope the damage isn't permanent.
